University Courses
For This Role:
Marketing
and Advertising-
At the University at
Bedfordshire you can do a three year degree course in Advertising and
Marketing Communication. The course allows you to create an effective campaign
that is coherent and incorporates the theory of marketing. The entry
requirements for the course are 160 UCAS points equivalent to two A-Levels,
however the course is not reliant on grades. For a career after the degree you
can go into brand management, corporate communications and media planning.
The University of
Gloucester you can study Marketing, Advertising and Branding, this course
is also not based on grades but you do need a minimum of two A-Levels. Through
group work and seminars you explore how entrepreneurs achieved their success
from Superdry to Pizza Express. Current graduates work for British Airways and
Warner Bros.
Graphic
Design-
The Arts University
Bournemouth does a three year degree course in Graphic Design. The entry
requirements for the course are three Bs, one in a humanities subject, another
in a subject related to graphics (a design tech) and another A-Level or Btec.
For a Btec a Merit is required for the substitution of the last B at A-Level.
They do a prefer an Art and Design foundation, but with enough experience this
isn’t necessary. Throughout the course you discover different techniques for
finished work and use different interfaces such as: screen, print, interactive,
web and typography.
For Plymouth College of
Arts two A-Levels are required at a minimum with an art or design related
subject. There are opportunities to expand your skills on the course and
experiment with different mediums. Throughout the degree you design magazine
covers to branding.
