- Before the show started we realised we had no idea for the backing tracks who's phone or backing track was which, so we asked each person with one to tell whose phone was which and who needed a CD and made a note of this in a column next to their name. This helped us to the cue the next backing track easily and efficiently. At one point one of the phones kept crashing on the backing track and the volume on the actual phone wasn't turned up, however we ensured all tracks were turned up on the phone and the phone didn't crash in the end.
We wrote who each of the backing tracks belonged to. - Another problem we faced was some of the music on the phones wasn't loaded up and we couldn't locate it, so using Comms I told Lauren that we needed the performer to locate it, Mrs dLG came to the box and gave it to the performer to find. By his act the music was ready to go.
- By using the column next to the performers name I was able to know what channels I needed to unmute for the act, the levels were set in the sound check however sometimes I needed to adjust the level depending if the performer was louder or quiet, as the band, especially enter Angus had very loud singing compared to more of a ballard singer like Beth.
The sound F/X column I used to know what to unmute. - The mics that were being used by the act was also determined by what the performer chose, this meant I had to watch which mic was chosen and know which to unmute there and then.
- At the end of the performance there was a buzzing from a mic still on, however everything on the desk was muted, however we didn't notice that the baritone sax mic was on the other side of the desk, once we discovered this we muted it.
