Bugsy Malone-30/06/15-Lessons 5+6

Lesson 5:
Model Box
I worked on completing the model box, I made the new stage blocks that are bringing the stage out another metre and painted them black. I also painted the legs white of my other stage blocks.
Cutting the dowel for the legs of my 6 new stage blocks.
Lesson 6:
Testing the projections
With Mr Hancock we tested the projections in the hall. As the flats aren't painted yet it was only rough but it gave us an idea of what worked and didn't. First of all when converting a Photoshop file if the image has no background it automatically makes it white, we realised this looked bad so decided to change the non background images background colour to black so it blends. However the other projections worked really well.
With the white background.
With black or coloured backgrounds
Secondly we realised that the projection softens out the image too much so any gold effect type (for book emporium and auctions) just looks like block colour so I'm going to try and brighten the colour of the original font then make it golden and see if that helps the definition when projected.
